Science Fair (Week)

Science is part of learning throughout the year at Carmel, with students regularly exploring questions, conducting experiments, and making discoveries. The annual CMA Science Fair gives students an opportunity to take that learning a step further by completing a science fair experiment and formally sharing their work with the Carmel community.

The Science Fair is also a long-standing opportunity for families to participate in their child’s science education. Students work on their projects with support from their families and guidance from their Director or Directress. It is a chance to ask questions together, explore an idea, and help children work through the process of turning their curiosity into an experiment they can explain and present.

Projects are brought to school on Monday of Science Fair week and remain on display throughout the week, giving students time to see what their classmates have explored and learned. On Wednesday at 10:00 AM, students formally present their projects and share their experiments, process, and discoveries with the community.

Detailed information about Science Fair expectations and preparations is provided in the August newsletter, with reminders and additional information shared in the weekly newsletter as Science Fair week approaches.
