New Year, New Blog!

On Monday, August 30th, we welcomed students and parents with our yearly annual peace ceremony. The kids also got to meet some new friends!

During our first week of school, we welcomed Bandit, our new barn cat! After two weeks, he is slowly getting accustomed to his new home.

The garden is thriving with pumpkins, tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, and many other veggies and squash that that have been incorporated into our school lunches. This past week, some of the kids worked together to make chocolate zucchini cake!

Our CMA bike hike, originally scheduled for September 4th, was postponed due to extreme heat in the Warrenville area. The event was rescheduled for September 11th.

On Friday September 18th, We had pizza for September birthday lunch, and Crosstown Exotics brought lizards, insects, and snakes to present to the kids!

The kids are having a blast so far this year, and can’t wait to continue learning and growing together!
