Jonomac Orchard

​A visit to Jonomac Orchard, followed by the Carmel Barn Dance, has been a favorite fall tradition at CMA for many years. Current students and families look forward to it, and it often brings former Carmel families back to reflect on the lasting community that grows here.

The day begins with apple picking, followed by lunch and plenty of time to explore the orchard. Students visit the petting zoo, play in the large outdoor activity area, make their way through the always-popular corn maze, and, of course, enjoy an apple cider donut or two.

The Jonomac trip gives students a chance to step outside their everyday routine, spend the day outdoors, try new things, and have fun together. Students of different ages share the experience, help one another through the corn maze, and enjoy a fall tradition that many come to remember long after their time at Carmel.

Families may meet at Carmel for a 9:00 AM departure or join the group at Jonomac around 10:00 AM. We typically leave the orchard around 1:00 PM, giving families the option of an early pickup and plenty of time to get ready for the evening’s Barn Dance.
